Hi my name is Michelle Strong, I am 25 years old and am California born and raised but have been living in Sydney, Australia for the past three years. I recently finished my Masters in Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney and currently work as a childcare provider and early education and development facilitator for families with disability. I grew up with a love of travel thankfully instilled in me by my parents and have come to treasure the invaluable learning experiences I have gained from visiting places around the world. If I am not travelling I can be found reading a good book or two or three, enthusiastically watching NRL -Go the Tigers! -, painting, or nervously hoping my pugalier Benji doesn’t destroy every last thing in the house. Having visited and fallen in love with Cusco, Peru during my undergrad I am extremely excited to start raising money to help empower the women of Huchuy Yachaq. Here’s to a great summer working with Eat So They Can, let the fundraising begin!
