- Sign up as a host at: www.eatsotheycan.org (as soon as you sign up, you will be immediately given your own host page).
- Log-in to your host page using the username and password which you will be emailed. Click Create a New Event so that you can upload your photo and add information about your event.
- Invite your friends and family to your event by sending an email with a link to your host page.
- Organize your event making use of all the great resources you will be sent by the ESTC team such as our DVD, posters, fact sheets, stickers and event ideas.
- Host your event!
Eat So They Can, is a fundraiser that invites people around the world to host a dinner, invite their friends and family, gather donations and send those funds to GVN Foundation’s work on behalf of women and children across Africa, Asia, and South America.
It’s easy, it’s fun and if you raise $500 USD or more you will be entered into a draw to Win a Free Trip to Africa or South America.
You can have an Eat So They Can Event anytime during the year but the official weekend is October 15-16. If you would like to be included in the Grand Prize Draw, please just be sure to hold your event, and send in the funds you have raised, by December 31, 2011.
Anyone can participate in Eat So They Can! We welcome any person, from any country/culture/faith or language to join us!
Eat So They Can is a key fundraiser of Global Volunteer Network Foundation (GVN Foundation) and was launched to raise funds to assist GVN Foundation’s projects around the world designed to stop child poverty.
The GVN Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization in the United States, EIN number 20-3087760. GVN Foundation is also in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Donors from all countries except New Zealand
Donors from all countries except New Zealand have two options for sending in their donations:
1. By Credit Card
You can use your credit card and make a donation to Eat So They Can by visiting the following link and clicking which cause you would like your donation to go towards:

Alternatively, if you are making a donation towards a specific event, go to the event's page and click on the donate button on the right. That way you will ensure that your donation is attributed to your host.
SPECIAL NOTE: Donations made by credit card will be processed via PayPal. However, if you choose to make your credit card donation online please note PayPal will take a small percentage of your donation.
2. By Cheque/Check
All cheques must be made out to the 'GVN Foundation' and should be sent to:

Donors from New Zealand who want to receive a New Zealand tax receipt for their donation have two options for sending in their donations:

The GVN Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization in the United States. This means that all US donors will receive an official tax receipt for their donation. US donors can make their donation online through this website or write a cheque made out to 'GVN Foundation' and post this to:
