ESTC Everest!

Eat So They Can and Treks are two of GVN Foundations biggest fundraisers. I love them because they both support our amazing partners who are working on the ground, and they both provide the opportunity for people to get hands on and involved.

The next trek is in Nepal and in just three weeks time I will be boarding a plane heading to Kathmandu! I will be joined by two other GVN Reps, Erin Courtney and Paul Fletcher, and together we will be leading the Everest Base Camp Fundraising Trek! All funds raised will go towards supporting the work of our wonderful partner, Volunteer Service in Nepal (VSN). VSN run Brighr Future Children’s Home which supports 5 girls and 9 boys, aged from 7 to 17 years who live in the home. Funds raised through the Everest Base Camp Trek will help ensure the children’s health, nutritional and educational needs are met.
We have a fantastic team of 27 trekkers from around the globe and I am excited to tell you that one of our trekkers is also an Eat So They Can ambassador! Introducing the gorgeous Frieda Loh from Singapore!
Frieda Loh, co-founder of Living Experience is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about spreading positivity and about causes such as human trafficking, gender equality, abject poverty, religious and racial harmony. You can visit Freida's Eat So They Can host page by visiting: http://www.eatsotheycan.org/host/friederike-loh
Frieda and I will be trekking over the Eat So They Can weekend in October so we have already started cooking up ideas about having a dinner party with the team on the mountain! Hmmm.... anyone for yak? Ew. I think it is going to be the highest Eat So They Can dinner ever! Anyone have any party ideas?

It is sure to be an amazing experience and I promise to take lots of photos and video. I am so happy that Eat So They Can has grown over the last three years and we have been able to extend the campaign to reach communities in Asia and South America. But to hit our $500,000 target we need all the help we can get!
If you have not signed up already, please do so now! http://www.eatsotheycan.org/

Namaste,

Lauren
